You are not alone

How we started…

The start is always the most difficult part, they say. There is truth in this saying. The beginning of the grief journey is often a struggle. Pushing ourselves to seek help and support for the very first time can be daunting. For me right now, thinking about how to introduce This Little Ark is proving a challenge.

This Little Ark honours the memory of our son, Noah. He was born too early at 28 weeks, after complications in pregnancy began at the 26th week. Noah lived 32 days. He succumbed to necrotising enterocolitis complicated by acute sepsis. He spent half his short life climbing mountains that grew bigger and taller every day. Watching him helplessly, all I could do but be in awe of Noah’s small but mighty fighting spirit.

We have married therapeutic coaching and baking together – an unlikely coupling but one that we hope will fulfil our vision. Through This Little Ark, we seek to renew hope and light in those who are traversing challenging times. No matter what brought you here to This Little Ark, we hope you find what you need.

About This Little Ark

This Little Ark provides mental health support, particularly to those who have suffered pregnancy and/or infant loss, as well as those struggling with fertility issues. After losing my first set of triplets at 23+4 weeks in 2019, I embarked on a Diploma in Counselling Psychology. This without knowing that my future would encompass us losing Noah, who was also part of our second triplet set.

After completion my diploma, I decided to veer away from traditional counselling and move towards therapeutic coaching. This less formal approach enables clients to build a rapport more easily with me based on our shared experiences. In turn, further bolstering the support needed in the grieving journey. I want to be able to to walk alongside my clients and help them find light in their darkness.
